We're here so fears don't make life smaller
Fobim Yok is a mobile app that helps people living with specific phobias and anxiety face their fears in small, safe steps at their own pace. On our blog we also publish simple, practical guides based on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). The name means "I have no phobia" in Turkish.
Download on theApp StoreThe app is currently in Turkish. English and Spanish versions are on the way.
Our method
Our foundation is gradual exposure: listing the situations you fear from easiest to hardest (an anxiety ladder) and learning to stay in each step without escaping. This is accompanied by breathing and relaxation exercises and CBT techniques for noticing thinking patterns. We explain the method step by step in our article What Is Gradual Exposure?.
Our editorial principles
Evidence-based methods
Our content is based on the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and gradual exposure, whose effectiveness for phobias has been shown by research. We don't publish statistics, percentages or study results we can't source.
Direct answer first
Every article starts with a summary that answers the question in the title in two sentences, followed by details, practical steps and frequently asked questions.
No exaggeration or promises
We don't use phrases like “guaranteed cure”. We clearly state the limits of self-help techniques and recommend seeing a mental health professional when needed.
Kept up to date
Articles are reviewed regularly; every page shows its publication and last updated date. If you spot a mistake, just let us know.
Our authors
Blog articles are written by the Fobim Yok Editorial Team. When an article has been reviewed by a mental health professional, the reviewer's name and title are shown separately on the article. Our English and Spanish articles are translations of our original Turkish guides, adapted for readers outside Türkiye.
Fobim Yok is a self-help tool; it does not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. If you experience intense anxiety or panic, contact a mental health professional. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
